Finnamyl Ltd
Finnamyl Ltd is the leading manufacturer of potato flour or starch in Finland with an annual production of 25000 MT. Finnamyl has produced certified organic potato starch since year 2000. First it was sold on the domestic market through mainstream supermarkets, where it achieved a 2% market share of total potato flour retail sales. Increasinly the organic potato starch has been exported and since 2011 the production has increased sharply as new contract farmers have started to produce organic starch potatoes.
Organic potato starch
Export of organic potato starch from Finnamyl Ltd started in 2004 as industrial sales. The product can also be retail packed for Private Label customers. 
The organic potatoes are contract-grown in the Kokemäki region close to the factory.
Finnamyl Ltd is also Kosher certified and certified to ISO 9001.
Aloja Starkelsen:
In 2011 Aloja Starkelsen Ltd in Latvia – a subsidiary of Swedish Culinar Ltd – and Finnish Finnamyl Ltd have entered into cooperation for expanding organic potato starch production and market. Organic Food Finland is responsible for marketing and selling the organic potato starch from both sources.
Aloja Starkelse is the leader company in the Baltic Organic Potato project which has as its aim to develop organic potato cultivation in the Baltic countries.
