About Us
Organic Food Finland is a private company run by Erkki Pöytäniemi and Marja Nuora in Espoo, Finland. The official name of the company is “Kurmakka – Organic Food Oy Ltd”. The company was founded in 1995 and has been active in developing the organic business sector in Finland mainly by means of marketing, communication and consulting activities and especially focusing on developing export of organic products from Finland.
Currently our main activities are:
- Export: acting as an external Export Manager for a number of Finnish food companies. To learn more click here.
- We participate in projects and activities for developing the organic market and industry in Finland. Marja Nuora is board member of the recently founded Pro Luomu ry.
- We communicate about organics to the Finnish audience through “Luomusalonki.fi” – the Organic Salon – showing photos and telling stories about organics in Finland.
- We are shareholder in “Edo Europa Oy Ltd” developing the market for European organic products in Asia.
- We represent the Dutch organic company DO IT in Finland and the Baltic countries for organic raw-materials.
