NORRGÅRD Ltd

Norrgård Ltd has a long tradition in potato processing since 1976, when the business was started. Today the company's main product is potato flakes and Norrgård Ltd is the leading potato flakes processor in Finland. Since 1999 we have also produced certified organic potato flakes.

The current 2-year development phase has seen tremendous development in the technology and process management systems at Norrgård Ltd, resulting in ever-higher quality of the end product. Also a special focus has been in the environmental impact of the processing plant f.ex saving water and diminishing the amount of waist.

The organic potato is either contract grown in the region of Pohjanmaa or bought as Class-B potato from as short a distance as possible. Only whole potatoes are used enhancing still further the quality of the potato flakes.

In Finland potato flakes are generally used in the bakery industry to enhance freshness and shelf life, in the meat industry and as a carrier substance in spice mixes. However many other application areas exist.
