KIANTAMA Ltd

Kiantama Ltd was founded in 1973. The company is mainly specialized in collecting and processing wild berries in Suomussalmi in north-eastern Finland. The focus is on dehydrated berries but also berry juice concentrates, purees and IQF frozen berries are available. The most important berries are wild billberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) and mountain cranberry (lingonberry; Vaccinium vitis-idaea). Other berries are Cranberry, Mountain Blueberry, Rowanberry, Cloudberry, Sea Buckthorn. With well developed processing and packaging techniques the colors and flavors of berries remain as natural as possible.

Strategic location in kainuu region where 50 % of the total annual berry crop was collected and strong traditions for berry picking allow Kiantama Ltd to be one of the leading processor of wild berry in Finland.

Since 1999, Kiantama Ltd has been a registered supplier of organic berry ingredients. Therefore authorized to use the Finnish national and the European Union organic farming labeling.State-of-the-art research and development capabilities are integral to Kiantama’s continuing success and a key ingredient in Kiantama's reputable quality.
